Honestly, I wanted to practice more with coding lol. I didn't even plan for this website to exist, I was only going to make the cursors and put them on my Kofi. My brain got too curious I guess, I did like 3 rough sketches and went from there. I started to get interested with coding last year. It started with me just wanting to try and add my own tiny code on my carrd website. Finding carrd coding resources. Then I started watch coding tutorials and use coding websites to learn. Thought that neocites / nekoweb / geocites were pretty cool. I wanted to try and add JavaScript, but I'm only on the free account + JavaScript is overwhelming oh my god. Coding-wise, I'm currently doing the FreeCodeCamp CSS and JS curriculum. I think I can say now I'm mostly proficient with HTML, there's still a few things in CSS I haven't learned yet. Maybe if I get more motivation, I might redo my carrd website (again).
As for the name, uh sometimes I refer to the cursor as a 'mouse'. So I thought "What if I make a cursor that looks a mouse, while you control it with computer mouse? A Mouse mouse cursor or something." Mouse inception I guess. I also started to get into pixel art last year, mostly just making small pixels/buttons, so making cursors is also good practice for me. I'm used to making animation memes and gifs, so pixel animation is still new for me. I might be breaking some of the rules of pixel art, sorry. ;-;
Transformice is one of the only games I still play nowadays besides Minecraft and Love Nikki. I joined back in 2019 in August, never heard of the game, only downloaded it because it was a free game on Steam. Ended up enjoying it more than I thought, it's the closest thing I got to old Club Penguin. I think the game is really cute, I think some of the players are cool and funny. The game is mostly quiet now, it was popular back in 2015-2016, but there's still players here. I was surprised when I didn't see any site buttons for it, that when I first started to try pixel art. The rest is history. I have no idea how long I'll keep this website up, or if I'll be able to make the cursors long term, but I'll do my best.
I tend to jump from project to project, bad habit of mine, but I've been consistent with working on this website. I might miss a few things or just forget something, I'll try to clean up the code when I make the updates. I'm also kind of quiet, so I might miss a message ;-;
